Odense Eventyr Golf plays host to the Danish Golf Challenge this week. Here are three players to look out for…
Form horse: Tapio Pulkannen
Tapio Pulkkanen finished a shot back in second place at the Challenge de España earlier this month, marking the Finn’s best finish of the season. The result followed top ten finishes in the UAE Challenge and Delhi Challenge, and lifted the 34-year-old into the top ten on the Road to Mallorca Rankings. He’ll be looking to go one better in Odense as the Challenge Tour travels to Scandinavia for the first time this year.
Local boy: Peter Launer Baek
Peter Launer Baek is a regular on the Nordic Golf League, where the Dane has made a solid start to the season with seven top 40 finishes in his first nine events. The 30-year-old will be teeing it up on his home course this week, where he’ll be hoping to put his course knowledge to good use against the rest of the field.
The outsider: Robin Williams
Robin Williams enters the Danish Golf Challenge off the back of a fifth-place finish in the Challenge de España that catapulted him into the top 20 on the Road to Mallorca Rankings. The result was the second top-five finish for the South African in only five events on the Challenge Tour this year. The exciting 22-year-old also narrowly missed out in a playoff in the SDC Championship on the DP World Tour back in March. He’ll be targeting another strong finish in Denmark this week.
