Nicolas Colsaerts continued his recent resurgence with a third-placed finish at the Nordea Masters but admitted to some frustration that he could not get over the line at Bro Hof Slott Golf Club.
The big-hitting Belgian began the day five shots behind eventual winner Matthew Fitzpatrick but had reduced that gap to two around the turn before his challenge faded as he came home in 37.
The two-time European Tour winner came close to losing his playing privileges in 2015 before finding some late season form and he now appears to be getting back to his best with two top threes in his last four events.
The 33 year old's last victory came in 2012 and while he was pleased with his performance over the course of the week, he admitted to some disappointment at not claiming a long-awaited win.
"I'll just put it on the list of another good week where I don't really finish it off," he said.
"I feel a bit sad over the last couple of holes, three-putting 16 and then we miscalculated a shot on 17. I really thought it was going to be fine but it's just gone back in the water and I made double.
"Apart from that I thought I played really well all week, I was in control of everything.

Home favourite and World Number Six Henrik Stenson fired the low round on Sunday with a 66 but that was not enough to put him in contention after previous efforts of 72-70-70.
A ten under total and a tie for fourth handed him his third top five in six events this term, and he is now hoping for a successful summer with three Major Championships on the horizon.
"Very satisfied, I just wish I'd started the week the way I finished it," he said. "I drove the ball very well today and yesterday, despite the tough conditions.
"The breeze really got up today and the course is tough enough anyway, so to finish with a 66 is very pleasing and especially to do it in front of my home fans.
"I've had great support all week, it was nice to see so many people following me out there, even though I wasn't in the final group. They definitely inspired me today, so I thank them for that.
"Obviously I would've loved to be in contention this week, but I probably blew my chance at the start.
"This round today will help me build some confidence. It's a big summer ahead and there's a lot of golf to be played, so hopefully I can build some momentum and peak at the right time."
