The new agreement will extend the current relationship, which began in 1999, through to the end of 2018.

As well as supplying golf cars to The European Tour, Club Car has also acted as an Official Supplier at every Ryder Cup staged on European soil since 1997.

Making the announcement, George O’Grady, Chief Executive of The European Tour, said: “Club Car is amongst the most respected names in golf and, having now worked with the company for more than 15 years, we had no hesitation in extending our existing agreement.

“As the dominant brand of golf cars across our tournament venues, Club Car’s distribution network is unrivalled and it is reassuring to know we can always rely on the business to meet the Tour’s requirements across our international schedule.

“In terms of the product, service support and reliability, Club Car consistently delivers on every front and its vehicles’ performance is outstanding.”

Marc Dufour, Chief Executive Officer of Club Car, said: “We have been a long standing partner of The European Tour. The Tour upholds the highest standards and requirements, which is aligned with our own dedication to quality and reliability at Club Car.

“In addition to this shared history of excellence, Club Car has been the Official Supplier of Golf Cars to The Ryder Cup since 1997, representing our position as a leading brand in the golf market. We look forward to continuing our close and trusted partnership for many years to come.”

In addition to The European Tour, Club Car is also an official supplier of golf cars to the Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) and the PGA of America.
