Clarke, Westwood and Daly to make Czech return

Former World Number One and 23-time European Tour winner Lee Westwood will be joined by former Major Champions Darren Clarke and John Daly at the D+D REAL Czech Masters from August 31 - September 3.

Clarke will make his first appearance in a Czech tournament since 2007 with the Northern Irishman set to join what is already shaping up as a strong field.

“At this moment we know that great stars Lee Westwood and John Daly will return to the D+D REAL Czech Masters,” said Petr Dědek, owner of the promoting company RELMOST.

We are exblockquoted to welcome back Darren Clarke to the Czech Republic after many years.

"We rank him among our golfing icons - as a former Major Champion with his win at the 2011 Open Championship, past captain of the European Ryder Cup team, 14-time European Tour champion, and three-time winner on the PGA Tour – he is a superstar of the game.

“With our inaugural winner from 2014 in Jamie Donaldson also returning alongside Clarke, this group of stars is far from definitive.”

At least ten Czech players will take part in this tournament, including members of RELMOST ProGolf Team Filip Mrůzek, Jan Cafourek, Daniel Suchan, Petr Dědek Jnr, Aleš Kořínek, Lukáš Tintěra and Ján Friesz.

RELMOST will also hold qualifying tournaments from April 24-26 at the Prague City Golf course with cards for D+D REAL Czech Masters (cards for the top two golfers), and both Challenge Tours events organised in the Czech Republic – the D+D REAL Czech Challenge and Prague Golf Challenge – available to the top three golfers.

Every golfer who participates in all three one round tournaments will be included in classification for sharing 250.000 CZK prize money and can register onlineHERE.

"Every professional can participate and we are expecting huge interest from foreign players. These qualifications are very popular and players can find more detailed information and how to apply online," said Zdenek Jehlička, RELMOST Head of Golf.

In 2016, nearly 25,000 spectators visited the tournament with Czech Golf Federation registered members enjoying free entry to watch some of the best golfers in the world.

When the tournament returns in 2017, the same free entry offer will be available for members, as well as owners of Raiffeisenbank credit cards, and children under 15.
