Caddies showcase their golf skills for charity

Caddies usually play a vital role in giving players advice before a shot, but during the Pro-Am at Made in Denmark they were given the chance to put their money where their mouth is by showing off their own golfing skills.

Pro-Am teams could donate 1,000 Danish Krone (approximately €135) to chosen charity Kids Aid in return for the professional’s caddie taking a shot on the iconic 16th hole - in front of the large crowd on Himmerland Hill – with their score counting as a ‘joker’ towards the team’s total.

Martin Kaymer’s caddie Craig Connelly was among those to try his luck, while Søren Kjeldsen’s team, which included the Crown Prince of Denmark, also pitched in.

“It was a fantastic initiative today at the pro-am for Kids Aid,” said Kjeldsen. “My team donated 1000Kr and it was a great day and a great contribution.”

There were, of course, some mixed results, as the video below shows, but at least it was in the name of charity.
