Caddie for Clarke, Lowry or McIlroy at the 3 Irish Open

Ever wanted to walk the fairways with your favourite pros? Ever thought about what it is like to caddie for a truly world class golfer? Now’s your chance with after the launch of a fantastic ‘Inside the ropes’ auction in aid of the Make-A-Wish Foundation at next week’s 3 Irish Open.

Darren Clarke, Shane Lowry and Rory McIlroy are offering members of the public the chance to caddie for them at the forthcoming 3 Irish Open Pro-Am to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

This once in a lifetime opportunity to stand shoulder to shoulder with Darren, Shane or Rory at the Killarney Golf and Fishing Club in Co. Kerry on Wednesday, July 28th, the winning bidders will be given access all areas at the 3 Irish Open and will be hosted by their player's professional caddie to give you an in-depth understanding of what it takes to be a Tour Caddie.

This wonderful experience is being auctioned through the Tour Players Foundation’s eBay for Charity pages, with all of the proceeds benefitting the Make-A-Wish Foundation.  The auction is open now, so clickhere(auction now closed)to choose your player and place your bid, the 3 auctions are available to bid on until 8:30pm on Sunday, 25th July.

The winners will be met by their player's caddie, introduced to your player, witness first hand their pre-round routine, given some pointers on the do's and don'ts of caddying and then it out onto the course with the player and his group.  You will be expected to carry the "Tour Bag", replace divots, rake bunkers, clean clubs, give yardages, but don't worry, your host will be on hand to help and share his expert caddie knowledge.
