By the numbers: Asian Swing

Following the fourth counting event of the Asian Swing in China, we take a look at some of the key numbers from the third of five Global Swings on the 2024 Race to Dubai.

Sebastian Söderberg finished top of the Asian Swing Rankings - 172.41 points ahead of second-placed Keita Nakajima. The Swede, who sits fourth on the Race to Dubai Rankings, finished second twice and in a tie for third in three of his four starts on the Swing.

Jesper Svensson became the second graduate of the European Challenge Tour Class of 2023 to win on the 2024 Race to Dubai.

Sweden and Japan were both represented twice in the top 10 on the Asian Swing Rankings, the most of any nation. Söderberg and Svensson finished first and fourth respectively, while Keita Nakajima and Yuto Katsuragawa were second and fifth.

Nakajima claimed the biggest winning margin during the Asian Swing, finishing four shots clear of Johannes Veerman, Veer Ahlawat and Söderberg in the Hero Indian Open at DLF Golf & Country Club.

Adrian Otaegui won his fifth DP World Tour title with victory at the Volvo China Open.

Katsuraga became the sixth different Japanese player to win on the DP World Tour, and the second of the swing after Kakajima, with his victory at the ISPS HANDA - CHAMPIONSHIP.

The 14th at DLF Golf & Country Club proved the hardest hole across the four events. The 535-yard par four averaged 4.51 strokes, with 212 pars, 29 birdies, 135 bogeys and 44 double bogeys or worse during the four days of competition.

Japan Golf Tour member Taihei Sato posted the lowest round of the swing with an eight-under-par 62 during the second round of the ISPS HANDA - CHAMPIONSHIP at Taiheiyo Club Gotemba Course on its DP World Tour debut as a host venue.

The lowest final round score by a winner. Svensson carded a closing nine-under 63 that included two eagles before winning a play-off against Kiradech Aphibarnrat at the Porsche Singapore Classic, while Katsuragawa made seven birdies in a flawless final-day performance to win on home soil at the ISPS HANDA - CHAMPIONSHIP in Japan.

Of the four tournaments winners, Katsuragawa made the biggest leap in the Official World Golf Ranking as he climbed 255 spots from 434th to a career-high 179th at the time.

The lowest winning total (-17) across the four tournaments, achieved by Katsuragawa at the ISPS HANDA - CHAMPIONSHIP through rounds of 70, 65, 65 and 63. Otaegui's winning total of 198 at the weather-affected Volvo China Open was through three completed rounds.
