Bavaria toasts Senior Tour partnership

Bavaria Beer and the European Senior Tour are toasting a new partnership which will see the Dutch company become Official Beer supplier to The Senior Open Championship and the Travis Perkins plc Senior Masters.

The association includes a Bavaria Beer exhibition at both Walton Heath Golf Club from July 21-24 and Woburn Golf Club from September 2-4, with sampling sessions in the tented villages at both tournaments.

It is Bavaria’s first foray into golf, with the aim of promoting its non-alcoholic  brand which will be available at the two Senior Tour events.

Mike Teague, Managing Director, Bavaria UK, said: “We’re delighted to be associated with European Senior Tour.  It’s a great fit with our brand and we are looking forward to developing a long term relationship over the coming years.”

Andy Stubbs, Managing Director of the European Senior Tour, said: “We are delighted to be able to announce this partnership with Bavaria Beer and we look forward to a long term association with the brand.

“Bavaria’s presence at both The Senior Open Championship and Travis Perkins plc Senior Masters should help enhance the spectator experience and add to what are already two magnificent tournaments.”

Founded in 1719, Bavaria is the largest independent brewery in Europe and is 100 per cent owned by the Swinkels family. Based in Lieshout, southern Netherlands, Bavaria exports to more than 130 countries worldwide.
