Arrested Development to perform at Qatar Masters

Double Grammy award-winning hip-hop legends Arrested Development have been announced as the new headline concert for Friday January 29 at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters after organisers confirmed that Simple Minds will no longer be performing at the event.

The Atlanta-based hip-hop pioneers are expected to wow the weekend crowds at Doha Golf Club with hits from their iconic back-catalogue including the anthemic songs Tennessee, Revolution (from the soundtrack to Spike Lee’s Malcom X) and Mr Wendal.

In 1993 Arrested Development became the first hip-hop act to receive the “best new artist” Grammy award, as well as the award for “best rap single”.  Their album ‘3 years, 5 months and 2 days in the Life of’, sold more than four million copies.

Commercial Bank Qatar Masters organisers - the Qatar Golf Association (QGA), Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) and Commercial Bank – are expecting to welcome thousands of visitors to Doha Golf Club from January 27-30 for another exciting weekend packed with world-class golf and family entertainment.
