Byeong Hun An was presented with his 2015 Challenge Tour Graduate of the Year Award ahead of his title defence at the BMW PGA Championship after the Korean followed in the footsteps of American Brooks Koepka to claim the trophy.
The Graduate of the Year Award is presented to the highest ranked player in The Race to Dubai to have graduated from the European Challenge Tour the previous season and An was a more than deserved winner, his BMW PGA Championship triumph helping him finish eighth in the season-long list last year.
European Tour Chief Executive Keith Pelley was on hand to present the trophy to the 24 year old at the tournament reception ahead of this year’s event at Wentworth Club.
Afterwards, An said: “It’s really nice to win awards like this. You only win these awards once so to be recognised is great. It was a fun night too.”
