The INEC, in association with The European Tour, is the official Par-Tee headquarters for the four day golf festival and, with a line-up of entertainment featuring the cream of Irish music; it is set to entertain golfers and spectators alike.
Sharon Shannon, Mundy, The Hothouse Flowers, The High Kings and more are all lined up to keep the festive atmosphere going late into the night. There’s live entertainment followed by late night dancing to RTE Radio DJ Les Vickers every night, kicking off with the Welcome Night on Wednesday, July 28 with The Showband Show at the INEC Acoustic Club.
The Hothouse Flowers perform on Friday, July 30 at the INEC Acoustic Club. Expect to hear all your favourites from the original trio of singer Liam Ó Maonlaí, Peter O’Toole on bass and Fiachna O’Braonain on guitar alongside Irish drummer David Clarke.
World renowned group The High Kings will bring their rousing acoustic flavour to ballads old and new every night from Wednesday 28th July to Saturday 31st July at The INEC. With numerous accolades to their name including Best Newcomer and Best Folk Act from The Irish Music Awards, The High Kings are a formidable force of the Irish folk music scene. Highly respected for their musical pedigree and incredible skills as multi-instrumentalists, The High Kings are real crowd pleasers performing tracks including The Rocky Road to Dublin, Will Ye Go Lassie Go and The Wild Rover.
Sharon Shannon along with special guest, Mundy will bring the festival to a close with energetic anthems such as Galway Girl and Blackbird at the Official Wrap Party at the INEC on Sunday, August 1. The darling of the Traditional Irish Music scene, Sharon’s album, The Galway Girl went quadruple platinum in Ireland and her latest album, Saints & Scoundrels is receiving rave reviews.
